The main objective of The Polish Lyme Disease Association - LymePoland is raising an awareness of a public menace which is a result of serious diseases passed by ticks, in particular Lyme Disease, creating funds for researches on tickborne diseases and supporting physicians in new methods of treatment.
The association does not deal with medical advice and referrals to physicians. Education and information about illnesses are our main activities. Because of that our recipients are the community, the medical environment and politicians. Moreover the association creates groups whose members support each other, fights for proper diagnosis and effective treatment. Apart from that we draw society`s attention to rising danger of tickborn diseases, lowered statistics of disease cases, difficulties in proper diagnosis and ineffective medical standards of treatment.
